An overview of the information Novaco shares with Google Analytics: every event, when it fires and which data it carries.
All events are dispatched as browser events on window, so you can forward them to Google Tag Manager or GA4.
autochat_chat_first_user_interactionA real interaction took place. This is not the same as clicking a CTA button.
autochat_lead_createdA lead has been created. This does not mean the lead has technically also been created in the lead management system. The event fires when the visitor confirms at the end of the conversation that the data entered is correct.
autochat_i_am_interestedEvery time someone starts an "I'm interested" flow.
autochat_question_answered_aiEvery time the AI replies with an answer.
autochat_question_answered_ai_vdpThe AI answers a visitor on a vehicle detail page. In that case no autochat_question_answered_ai is sent.
autochat_flow_startedA visitor starts a chat or moves from a free question into a specific flow — by clicking a suggestion or typing a request that leads into a predefined flow such as booking a test drive or a workshop appointment.
autochat_flow_successfulA visitor finishes a chat successfully — for example an appointment was made or the AI answered the question.
autochat_opened_on_loadA visitor lands on a page path that is configured to auto-start the assistant.
autochat_chat_openedThe chat bubble gets opened.
autochat_chat_closedThe chat bubble gets closed.
Alongside the events, Novaco provides additional event data you can use as GA4 custom dimensions.
| Variable | Relevant events | Description |
|---|---|---|
| session_id | all | The session id of a chat session. Identical for all events within one chat. |
| chat_type | all (except autochat_lead_created) | The type of chat — similar to appointment_type. |
| appointment_type | autochat_lead_created | The type of appointment that was created. |
| chatSessionId (deprecated) | autochat_lead_created | The unique id of the current chat session, matching the id in the backend. Replaced by session_id and will be removed in the future. |
Follow the step-by-step guide to forward these events to Google Tag Manager or Google Analytics 4.
